Terri is Nurse Consultant in Coloproctology. She was a ward sister at St. Marks Hospital before she joined the Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 1991 as Clinical Nurse Specialist in Stoma Care. Terri has been instrumental in developing a range of Nurse Led colorectal services for patients at the Homerton.
In 2006 the Homerton Colorectal Nursing Department was accredited as an Academic Department of Advanced Colorectal Nursing Practice by City University.
Terri is currently undertaking a PhD, exploring the coping and help seeking behaviour of women with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. She is a visiting Lecturer for the Burdett Institute, Kings and City University. Terri has published two textbooks embracing all aspects of colorectal nursing practice, and has been published extensively in medical Colorectal and nursing Gastrointestinal Journals.
She is currently Clinical Director of the North East London Bowel Cancer Screening Centre.
